چکیده
ABSTRACT Waitea circinata (Warcup & Talbot) is an orchid antagonist mycorrhizal fungus with biocontrol potential against rice pathogens. This study aimed to optimize the extraction method, obtain a new extract and evaluate its efficiency pathogens in vitro vivo, as well compare it other methods W. circinata. The extracts were obtained screened for growth inhibition Cochliobolus miyabeanus, Monographella albescens Sarocladium oryzae, using following extracts: mycelial, crude, lyophilized mycelial mass. An additional assay was performed principal pathogen (Magnaporthe oryzae), order conidial germination appressorium formation. Based on this evaluation, mass tested vivo blast (M. oryzae) compared suspension, different application forms (simultaneous previous). inhibited all pathogens, crude C. miyabeanus M. albescens, respectively. oryzae formation by 80 %, simultaneous previous applications suppressed 94 %. These results indicate that can be used control

Occurrence of Brown Blight Caused by Waitea circinata var. zeae on Cool Season Turfgrass in Korea
In 2010, disease symptoms, including necrotic lesions on stems and leaves with circular yellow-brown or irregular brown color patches, were observed on cool-season turfgrass at golf courses (OHCC) and the Daegu University research farm in Gyeongbuk, Korea. We isolated the causal agent and identified it as Waitea circinata var. zeae by morphological characterization and molecular analysis. To th...

This study evaluated that effect of prebiotic food containing oligosaccharide to enhance the growth and activity of probiotic strains. Barley grains probioticated using different strains of probiotics are Lactobacillus kefiranofaciens, Candida kefir, and saccharomyces boluradii. To select a suitable prebiotics like inulin for the development of Synbiotic barley and tested for antibacterial activ...
متن کاملMicrobicides against emerging and new pathogens: a cause for concern
Examples of the use of microbicides can be traced back to ancient times when natural products were used to combat infection or to preserve mummies, and when metals such as silver were used to decontaminate potable water. Fumigation was introduced much later with, for example, the burning of juniper branches to decontaminate buildings where Black Death sufferers were housed, and later in the tre...
متن کاملLabs form a new front against deadly pathogens.
When four pig farm workers and a butcher in the Philippines tested positive for Ebola Reston virus antibodies in January but did not become ill, it was the latest example of an outbreak of a new and potentially dangerous pathogen passed from animal to human. It was not the first time humans became infected with Ebola Reston. Nor has the virus been recognized as the cause of human illness to dat...
متن کاملUltrahistopathology of balanitis circinata.
Penile lesions from six patients with balanitis circinata were examined with the light and electron microscopes. The epithelium showed slight parakeratosis, acanthosis, and elongation of rete ridges. Neutrophil pustules occupied the upper epidermis. Prickle cells formed a spongiform net around the pustules. The most prominent features detected by the electron microscope were the small-to-medium...
